Nanolex SI3D Cerabide HD
Our flagship professional product, Nanolex SI3D Cerabide HD , is designed for certified Nanolex detailers. This new coating combines the benefits of Nanolex Cerabide and Nanolex SI3D HD.
“Anyone who has ever completed a training course with us or one of our distribution partners can purchase this coating,” explains Florian Kessler, co-founder of Nanolex. “The idea was to combine Cerabide and the Nanolex base coat.”
Dr. Andreas Nuener, co-founder of Nanolex, adds: “We had great success with the Nanolex SI3D HD version, combining regular SI3D and the basecoat with organic and inorganic polysilazanes. Now we’ve combined the HD version with Cerabide to create Cerabide HD, which combines the advantages of both coatings.”
Cerabide HD is harder than regular HD coating, has a higher film thickness, can fill minor scratches, and is easier to apply. It will be the most durable coating we’ve ever made. “It may sound bold, but it will outlast any other coating you can find,” says Kessler.

Nanolex SI3D APX
At the other end of the car coating spectrum, we have a new product called Nanolex SI3D APX , which stands for “All-Purpose Exterior.”
“You can use it on glass, paint, wheels, and exterior trim,” explains Kessler. “It’s very easy to use and has a very long working time, meaning you can apply it practically all over the car and then start polishing when you’re done.”
The most impressive feature of APX is that it requires virtually no curing time. “Apply it, buff it, and you’re ready to go,” says Kessler. “If you apply it outside and for some reason it starts to rain right after application, no problem.” Dr. Nuener emphasizes that APX is based on various resins rather than pure organic polysilazanes, which gives the product a very attractive darker color effect and makes it very easy to apply. APX is particularly suitable for enthusiasts seeking a simple and versatile solution for various exterior surfaces without having to worry about curing times or weather conditions.

Nanolex SI3D Leather
Another long-awaited product is Nanolex SI3D Leather. “After extensive testing and much consideration, we developed SI3D Leather, specifically for interior protection with very high durability, but with virtually no change to the surface in terms of feel and appearance,” says Kessler.
Dr. Nuener adds, “We wanted it to be a car ceramic coating, but ceramic coatings typically become quite stiff after application. So we made changes to the formulation to ensure it didn’t change the feel of the surfaces it was applied to.” This coating is ideal for those who want to protect their vehicle’s interior without changing the feel and appearance of the leather.

Nanolex SI3D Trim
The same goes for Nanolex SI3D Trim , another product that has been frequently requested by customers in recent years. “It’s designed to provide very strong color darkening for exterior and potentially interior plastics,” explains Kessler.
Dr. Nuener adds that the product is virtually solvent-free, offers very strong UV protection, and is easy to apply. Trim is perfect for exterior siding, especially those that are severely faded. It offers a long-lasting solution that is easy to apply and requires no curing time.

A specialized version of SI3D for rims, Nanolex SI3D Rim , is also a highly sought-after product among customers. “Virtually all SI3D coatings are designed to work on rims, but now we saw an opportunity to create a version that’s even more rim-focused,” says Kessler.
Dr. Nuener explains, “It requires the hardness needed for the rims, but at the same time it must be very flexible, as the rims have high torsion, and it must be heat-resistant.” This coating is ideal for professional detailers and enthusiasts looking for a durable, heat-resistant solution for their rims.

Nanolex SI3D Spray
Finally, we have Nanolex SI3D Spray , the latest water-based product designed for easy application on all surfaces and compatible with existing coatings. “We wanted to stick to water-based formulations, and unlike previous versions based on modified xylosans, we switched to water-based resins here. It’s very durable, very hydrophobic, and very easy to apply,” says Dr. Nuener.
